Infrared Photography

I took all of these infrared photos using a Nikon D70 and a Harrison & Harrison #87 filter. This filter looks black, as it is opaque to visible light. However, it lets through infrared light, which the D70 has limited sensitivity to. These were all long exposures, many of them 30 seconds. Becasue the camera does not record visible light when using an infrared filter, any color in the photos is false color - the result of the red green and blue pixels of recording various wavelengths of infrared light diferently.
